Is there any downside of enabling sslv2?

I am having speed issues with my provider and trying to see if any tweaks can help. I have always seen that option to enable sslv2 in the really advanced section is there any reason not to just enable it even if you don't need it, does it affect network performance or transfer speeds?

I'm not sure it does anything anymore to be honest.

What server are you using? I've noticed I'm not hitting peak speeds with usenetserver lately. I don't know if it's my ISP or the server or my network.

I am using newshosting so the same backbone as you glad it is not just me. I did go ahead and email newshosting i knew it would not help all the CS. reps do is read from a script and that is the response I got. As for the sslv2 if the developer doesn't remember what it does I guess that makes it a pretty safe bet that I don't need it. Thanks

I am not sure if there is a problem with newshosting. Seems I got good (average of 139.1 MB/s) speed.

You can try to reboot or power cycle your modem/router. You should also power cycle your computer and then check a speed test site.

With newshosting all you can do, if you still have an issue, is 1 try a different server, 2 try their support again.
Most time they know if there is an issue.
Always note your ISP and location.
Most times it's an ISP issue or, temp, routing issue, which is why I say try different servers. they can be found on the newshosting site or also through their support.

I'm still hitting 4-500 Mbps but, I used to max my 1 Gbps connection.
