6.56 Files selected and queued do not download.

Files selected for download are not starting. They show as queued in the group list, but never transfer to the download list that I can see. I am using Windows 7 if that matters for anything.

What news server are you using? Anything in the logging tab?

Wonder if your account lapsed with your news server? That's the most common cause of this.

Got it.

In the options, select "Open Data Folder" then close Newsbin. Now delete "Downloads.db3" then restart. See if anything happens. This will delete the download wish and failed lists.

I missed the actual problem initially so, my prior advice was wrong. Are you adding from search, header downloads or NZB files?

This did not fix the problem. I am selecting from header downloads.

If you look down at the status bar where it says "Cache" do you see a number in parens? I'm wondering if it's still importing headers.

Data comes out of the groups themselves and is fed to the download list DB. You wiped the download list DB so it suggests the problem is feeding from the group. You might try right clicking the group or topic "Post Storage/Compact Database". Then let it run.

The cache is 200/200 (0). It did have a (1) after I updated my groups, but now says (0). I did the compact database suggestion also, but no luck on it fixing the problem.

We're getting pretty close to "re-install" time. I'm, not sure what could be causing this. I might re-download headers for the group.
