Newsbin just stops

For the last three days, when I open Newsbin, it goes to "Download Headers:..." as usual, but then comes to a complete halt.
Never, restarts. I don't have any NZB files loaded. Can someone tell me what's going on

Just noticed that this counted down to zero and started over. It's suppose to be downloading headers.

None of those messages have anything to do with downloading headers. One is for automatic NZB loading and the other is for periodic searching.

What logging messages do you see when you add the header downloads manually? Look in the servers tab too.

Typically "was working then stopped working" suggest a problem with your news server account. The thing is I'd expect you to see connection errors.

So I'd hit the main pause button then download headers. You should see them in the download list waiting to unpause. If there are no headers downloads listed, make sure all the groups you want to download from have a check marks next to them in the groups tab. If that doesn't change anything look in you server options and make sure "No Header Download" isn't checked

This looks as though you have options, settings advanced, status tab logging to Debug, I mostly use Verbose.
But as far as headers issues and such, go with what Quade says.

I backed down from RC3 to nb691B7 and headers immediately downloaded.

Now if I can get the Search to actually search back more than a few weeks, I' be good.

Search is limited to 2000 results or so. The best way to go back in time is to make the search better defined.

Like setting a minimum size or limiting what groups it looks into. The Minimum size filter is a good way to remove most of the spammy postings.

In the later versions of the Beta/RC, I fixed a problem where groups that were unchecked in the groups tab would still download headers. The intent is that you can control header downloads by checking and unchecking the groups in the groups tab (not the add group window). My guess is the groups you want headers from aren't checked but the old versions were broken so it still worked for you.

Quade, the OP did make a separate post about searching https://forums.newsbin.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=48302.
dexter and I ran out of ideas as to why the OP only gets, at best, 758/1989, when using the same search term I got 1981/1981.
You did make a post there as well, but they still have issues.

I can't find any other settings that would cause this then what was talked abut in the other post.
Maybe you can think of a setting we missed?
The OP says in other post all filters are off and set like a screenshot I posted on getting the 1981/1981.
They also turned off all spam settings. Yet I posted what is set for me and I still get 1981/1981. The OP gets 773/1982.

Maybe you can read that whole post and see what's missing. I would think search works almost the same for everyone. And from what I have seen, usually only filters effect it.
But again, OP says they set like mine with NO filters. Is there a filter that is separate, that stays on for some, as it's not for me?
