Why am I getting Retry: Next Retry: etc... since 6.30B

Postby slee » Wed Feb 01, 2012 5:09 pm

I've tried the various fixes I've found from reading these groups, such as making sure the scheduler is disabled (which it was) and I tried removing the AutoPar2.db3. I'm getting things like the following:

1.05 GB/1.17 GB Retry: 5 Next Retry: 9 0%: Completed
661.8 MB/733.0 MB Retry: 4 Next Retry: 108 0%: Completed
1.48 GB/1.63 GB Retry: 3 Next Retry: 178 0%: Completed

The example above, all files were complete. This happens with anything I download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, currently using the 64bit version of 6.30B4 - Build: 1747.

Thanks

How long did you wait? When I just turn away and do something else, by the time I come back, it's finished. Depends on the retry setting. This behaviour did change in a recent build, I believe.

They're waiting to unRAR. If something else is already unraring, they'll wait there like that counting time till it's their turn.

If nothing is unraring, I'd suggest exiting and deleting "Autopar2.db3" then restarting.

I've already tried deleting the "Autopar2.db3" file. Could it be because I have auto UnRAR turned off? If so, how do I fix this?

You probably just need to delete them then. The way "Autopar off" works is different in B4 but, for new files, not for files that are already in the download list. It's changing again in B5. Hopefully for the better for people who want Autopar off.

When you delete them, make sure to say NO when it asks about deleting the files.

And what is is the use of their counting while waiting? Just a simple message like 'waiting to unrar' would be much more informative.

6.40B2 is already different. The retry message is gone. PAR state is shown instead.
