[REQ] More detailed repair status

I don't know the ins and outs of the current repair routine but does it not provide any data back on the progress of repairs? It would be really nice if I could hover over a currently repairing set and see something like:

Code: Select all
Total Files in Set: xx
Files Missing: xx
Files Damaged: xx
Est. Time to Repair: xx:xx

Do-able?

Right click the parent item and select "Properties". See what you see.

From my perspective, all that matters is whether the repair works or not. If it's attempting to repair, that means it thinks it has enough par blocks to do the job. Otherwise it wouldn't even start.

Nice! I like. Does that window also show the progress of a current repair i.e. ETA, progress etc? That's what I'm really after.

From experience with v5, I've had many frustrating moments wondering wth Newsbin is doing with a repair. These are big file sets (30-50GB sometimes) so extended repair time is expected but so many times, I've had to quit Newsbin and fire up QuickPar just to get the repair done and indeed it completes within an hour so whereas I'd given Newsbin several hours already with no end in sight. The most frustrating bit is not being able to see under the hood at what Newsbin actually thinks is happening in these situations.

No CPU load = no repair in progress.

When my version 6 repairs, all 4 CPU's are pegged at 100%. There really isn't much progress to report. Repair's a black box. I tell it "repair this" and it tells me a percentage.
