Curious on new Beta or Major Release. It's bee na while since one. I only came looking since my last version has been acting up a bit... Program gets stuck a lot where GUI does not update for minutes at a time.

Thank you!

I'm working on it as we speak. I have two code bases, the old code that 6.82 was released on and the new code with significant improvements. There are a couple fixes I could patch into the old code to get a beta out but ultimately I want to release the new code but it's not quite ready for beta yet.

Considering how much time the new code might take, it might make sense to release a beta with the old code and some fixes.

There's a new obscured format I need to work around so it's even more likely now. I was just digging up the old code to work on it again.

saw the next version (beta) will include support for 7zip

will there be a checkbox to allow newsbinpro to automagicly use 7zip to expand 7z file found inside an expanded rar file
appears putting a 7z file inside a rar is a new 'feature' for newsgroup posts

Newsbin already recurses one level down so, it'll unrar and rar inside a RAR. I'll make a note that it should do the same with 7zip.

I was just working on 7zip for the beta right now. It's kinda the only real holdup.

Thank you! will be a great time saver, for those (many) times when you return and find a 7z and then wait while you do by hand x times :D
