Watch list "look in topic" setting.

In the Watch List configuration box, there is a setting for "Look in Topic". There is an option for "All Groups", but this selection will not stick. When I set up a watch, I would like to have as big a net as possible so this "All Groups" would suit me much better than any specific topic.
My newsbin reader is set up with 10 major groups so I can sort the newsgroups by category, but currently the Watch List can only be set to look in one major group at a time.
Is this function actually working so I am missing many of my desired posts, or am I misinterperting the settings?
I am running Windows 10.
Thanks, oldswede

If it's blank, it's the same as "All groups". I'll check it out for the next beta.

What version are you using?

I see that I didn't include an important bit of information. What is happening is that the "Look in" box contains the name of the first folder. I can change that to another folder name but I cannot set either all groups or a blank.
I am using version Pro 6.80 beta 11 build 4994
There is no blank option.

I just verified that B12 has a persistent "All Groups" for that setting so the fix is coming.

You could fix it now by editing the configuration file with Wordpad and removing whatever "Look in" group is selected, then save the NBI.

You should find it in a section that looks like:

Code: Select all
[<Watch Name>]

Exit Newsbin before hand editing. It's a good idea to make a backup of the configuration file too.

I'm seeing this behavior in 6.81. If I try to set a watch topic to "All Groups" it reverts to the first topic in the list.
