AutoPAR trouble

Postby skoj » Tue Oct 11, 2011 9:53 pm

Running v6.11.

My problem is that sometimes AutoPAR doesn't extract a RAR set. There's no rhyme or reason to why -- sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. There's nothing wrong with the sets it refuses to extract, running QuickPAR shows no damaged or missing files. It just says "Automatic UnRAR disabled" in the status collumn of the Downloads window.

AutoPAR is enabled and it is configured to auto extract complete files. It works for 75% of files and fails for 25% (roughly).

Can anyone help me with this?

What does newsbin think of the files? Right click properties. The errors you're getting suggest that the server is reporting it doesn't have all of the file.

Did you check the group properties? You can set options in the group properties not to unrar. That's sort of what this looks like.

That's the weird part. Downloads look perfect in the properties tab but it's still trying to download parts. source block count == available block count and zero damaged or missing files.

I initiated the d/l via NZB file so I don't think any group properties apply.

Group properties might still apply of you happen to be subscribed to the same group the posts came in. It's looking like Newsbin is repairing the files then but, just not unraring them. The fact the files are perfect and that you get the "UnRAR disabled" message is what led me to think that.

I'll poke around the code. What's really odd is that it works most of the time.
