Problem with mp3 renaming

Postby TomSmiles » Tue Oct 11, 2011 11:54 am

Using v 6.11 64 bit - Windows 7 64 bit

when dl yEnc files such as mp3

folder is created with album name, but file is saved in root dir with _yEnc.nb2 appended to file name

long multipart files - not mp3s -also have append problem

from log file:
[09:55:28] DEBUG - FileIOThread - AssembleFile: xxx.mp3
[09:55:28] DEBUG - AssembleFiles: xxx.mp3
[09:55:28] DEBUG - AssembleFiles: Failed to Move file to final destination - Shouldn't happen: xxx.mp3

this doesn't happen in version 5

this has happened with every version of 6 -

I created a new install of Win 7 64 bit - new install of Newsbin 6.11 - still happens.

more info update:

using VMWARE workstation and saving to a network folder mapped to drive Z

Try saving to the internal VM drive (not the shared drive) and see if it does the same thing. I specifically test this before release and it was working here to a local drive. What's happening is something is preventing Newsbin from renaming the NB2 files to the final name. That's what the error is telling you too.

Yes saving to internal drive is fine.

I've gone back to v 5.59 for now, as it works well.

I do like the speed of 6.11, but not being able to save to the net drive is a showstopper for me.

5.59 renames the same way so, I'm sort of shrugging my shoulders. It's likely something only you can fix. Permissions or V scanner or the like.
