Windows Search errors

Postby bruce73 » Tue Oct 04, 2011 2:28 pm

I just noticed this in Event Viewer: since May (maybe when I started using V.6 ??), there are tons of Windows Search Service errors:
The entry <F:\NEWSBIN\SIGNATURE.DB3-JOURNAL> in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)

The entry address can be different, indicating various .DB3 files, but the Event # is always 3013. Should this be of any concern necessarily?

Implies a hardware problem. Newsbin doesn't write anything to the event log.

OK, Quade, thanks. I do some googling on the error code itself and see what I can find. AFAIK, it doesn't interfere with anything.
