UnRAR and file timestamp change from V5.

Postby hthomasjr » Wed Sep 28, 2011 8:37 pm

When Newsbin unRARs files under V6 it appears to use the timestamp that is actually on the file inside the RAR. This is probably the correct behavior. BUT this is not what happened under V5. Under V5 the timestamp was set to time of the actual decode. I prefer the V5 behavior because when downloading .NZBs with multiple files the unRARed file will have a similar time to the files decoded straight from the newsgroup posts. I prefer to sort my freshly downloaded posts by date/time to make it easier to determine which I have already examined.

Is there any way to control the unRAR timestamp behavior?

It depends on what version of 5. It changed over the course of devel.

6.2, it'll be optional, I've already made it optional in the code. It'll be in the next beta.

Thanks. I look forward to trying it out in the next beta.
