Storage Age option

Postby Moondawgie » Tue Aug 16, 2011 3:37 pm

I have recently cancelled my subscription to Easynews, and acquired a Diamond account with Giganews. Giganews has stated that they presently have more than 3 years of newsgroup message retention, and growing.

What is the currently the best setting of Newsbin's Storage Age option with the Giganews servers if I don't want to expire/remove any messages from Newsbin's database until the messages are no longer available from Giganews?

Does a setting of "0" mean that no messages will be automatically expired/removed/deleted from my Newsbin database until the message is expired/removed/deleted from Giganews' server?
MS Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit I- ASUS P8Z77-V LE; Intel i7-3770K 3.5 GHz; 16.0GB DDR3; 500 Mbps cable internet.

Maybe 1200 today and then expand 100 days every 100 days.

if I don't want to expire/remove any messages from Newsbin's database until the messages are no longer available from Giganews?

As far as I know, giganews isn't purging anymore.
