6.82 Build-5142 - 2 menu functions to download are reversed

Postby Moondawgie » Sun Aug 09, 2020 3:35 pm

In my installation of Newsbin Pro Version 6.82 Build 5142 on a desktop PC running Windows 10 Individual Preview Build 20185, the functions of the menu selections for "Download to New Folder" and Download To Existing Folder" are reversed.

Using my mouse to first highlight a file displayed in a newsgroup or group of newsgroups, and then right-clicking opens a menu.

Left-clicking on the menu selection "Download To New Folder..." opens the Windows 10 File Explorer with the prompt to save the file in an existing folder instead of a new folder.

Left-clicking on the menu selection "Download To Existing Folder..." opens the Windows 10 File Explorer with the prompt to download the file to a new folder instead of an existing folder.

Is this the same for everybody?
MS Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit I- ASUS P8Z77-V LE; Intel i7-3770K 3.5 GHz; 16.0GB DDR3; 500 Mbps cable internet.

It might just be a misconception about how it's supposed to work. "Download to New Folder" will always generate a new folder. Typically named for the subject. Download to existing folder, will use whatever folder you browse to and won't generate a new folder automatically.

I just tested it. It seems to work the way I described.
