Ubuntu 7.10 newsbin 5.40 codeweavers 'newest' is working

Hi Again...

Just installed Ubuntu 7.10 again and i can use the newest 5.40 ver.

Please if someone can get it to work on Ubuntu 8.04 please let med
know

There is a annoying 'bug/feature' when i select a lot of files ctlr-A
it takes forever cause the windows i scrolling down and making
a lots of GUI actions.... 3-6 min if i select 3000-5000 files...

There's a number of issues like the Select-All speed thing - actually thats probably the most objectionable artifact I've come across. Most are minor redraw issues. Keep in mind that NB is a windows program(which runs fine on it's native platform) so if you get problems like that, the issue is with wine, not Newsbin. The solution I use is to not do Select-All on Linux...:P

Even though NB isn't officially supported on Linux, Quade's been good about trying to hunt down things that actually break wine. This select thing has been there for a while and proved difficult to track down. In the end, it's a bug in the wine implementation.

I suspect they don't implement "SetRedraw" properly. That's a function I use to disable re-draw while I'm doing something intensive to the GUI.
